The site of the historic Miami National Bank has officially transitioned into a hotel with the grand opening of The Langford. The 126-key boutique property is part of a wave of new hotel rooms that will soon open in downtown Miami.

Said Patrick Goddard, president and COO of Trust Hospitality: “This was all on paper five years ago. It was blood, sweat and tears to make this happen.”

The hotel features artwork by local artists, and designs by Bloom Miami. The hotel will soon have two new food and beverage concepts by Miami-based Pubbelly Restaurant Group. PB Station, a full-service restaurant on the ground floor of The Langford, is expected to debut in the first week of April, Pubbelly founding partner and managing director Andreas Schreiner told the Business Journal. Pawn Broker, a rooftop bar by Pubbelly, is expected to open soon after.

“We wanted to venture off the Beach because we’ve had a lot of requests to come to the main land,” Schreiner said.

Pubbelly Sushi, another Pubbelly concept, will open at Brickell City Centre later this year.

The Langford created 142 new jobs.
