This October, Brickell will acquire a new entertainment and culinary gem in the form of El Tucán, a theater-style venue poised to revive and reimagine the somewhat forgotten concept of dinner-and-a-show. Complete with crystal chandeliers, crushed velvet accents and lush tropical foliage, El Tucán will channel the glitz and opulence of Cuba’s mid-century golden era.
El Tucán will feature live acts twice a night every Thursday through Saturday, as well as a resident 2-piece Latin orchestra hand-selected by Grammy award-winning composer, producer and pianist Marlow Rosado. New Zealand-born Chef Jean Paul Lourdes will curate culinary offerings inspired by traditional Latin, Caribbean and South American fare, while master mixologists Gabriel Orta and Elad Zvi of Bar Lab craft a diverse selection of artful and creative cocktails.
To celebrate its opening weekend, which will take place Friday, October 2nd and Saturday, October 3rd, doors will open at 8:00 p.m. and the venue will host several shows each night free of charge to the public. The lineup for Opening Weekend will include artists such as Freddie King, Puddles, Chargeaux, Marlow Rosado and more. Stay tuned for specifics on showtimes! In addition to its nightly shows, El Tucán will also stay open late for after-hours revelry.
